Christmas Order Deadlines 2026
The lead up to Christmas & the holiday season is a particular busy period for us at Custom Steel Appeal, as well as with Australia Post.
Here are the important dates to take note of if you are looking to receive your order before Christmas:
Fully Custom Sign Designs:
The number of enquiries increases dramatically at this time of year, we always recommend getting in touch as early as possible. Please submit your enquiry before Friday 20 November 2026.
We are happy to take enquiries will be taken after this date, however designs will be prioritised in the order they are received. Custom signs can take approx 2-3 weeks depending on any missing info and any revisions required. If you would like your sign powdercoated we cannot guarantee the readiness of signs paid after 29 November 2026.
Pre-designed Signs & Garden Art:
(excluding Letterboxes & Custom Pet Memorial from Photo - for turnaround purposes this is classified as a fully custom design)
Regular Postage*:
Painted/powder-coated items: 22 November 2026
All other orders: 9 December 2026
Express Postage*:
Painted/powder-coated items: 29 November 2026
All other orders: 16 December 2026 (up to 20 December 2026 if you're in SA)
Pickup Orders:
Painted/Powder-coated items: Wed 2 December 2026
All other orders: Sun 20 December 2026
Signs with a powdercoated finish placed after Sunday 6 December may not be completed prior to our powdercoaters closure Friday 18 December. These will be delayed until their return from 11 January 2027.
We always recommend getting your order in as early as possible to avoid any manufacturing delays, as the time it takes to create & pack your order does increase during the peak holiday period.
*These dates are based on Australia Post's Christmas delivery schedule and they are based on metro delivery. We recommend upgrading to express post for all orders in December to avoid any delays within the postal system, especially for rural areas. Once your package leaves our warehouse, the actual delivery time will be in the hands of Australia Post and the Postage Gods.
Christmas/New Year Operating Hours 2026
Our online store will stay open as usual over the Christmas and New Year period, so you can keep shopping and placing orders.
Our warehouse will be closed from Thursday 24 December, and we’ll be back on Monday 4 January 2027. Orders placed during the break will be made and dispatched in order once we return. Order pickups won’t be available while we’re closed.
Our suppliers and powdercoaters are closed from Friday 18 December to Monday 11 January. Orders that need powdercoating will take a little longer than usual during that time.
Thank you for your patience while our team enjoys a well-earned break. We’ll be back in the warehouse and cutting again from 4 January.
