Courier rates are a flat $90 (if you are in a metro area this may be cheaper so please get in touch if you would like us to check) A physical address must be supplied at checkout. MOUNTING:
Mounting Holes: Either 3x holes in top corners or 6x holes (3 each on top and bottom) pre cut into your sign ready for fixing to a shed, fence or backing of your choice
Hanging Eyelets: 3x eyelets cut at the top of your sign ready to hang from a frame of your choosing.

AVAILABLE FINISHES:
Weathering Steel: your sign will be cut in durable 3mm REDCOR weathering steel, which requires no additional preservation and will weather into a beautiful rusted finish for years to come. Weathering Steel signs are manufactured & posted in approx 3-5 days.
Powder coated: Powder-coating is designed for the outdoors and will continue to last while looking amazing. We outsource our powder-coating to a local business. They offer a variety of colours, however our standards are Satin (matte) or Gloss black. There is approx a 2-3 week turnaround for this service.

SIGN PROOF:
Please note: For any of our pre-designed property signs we do not provide a proof prior to cutting, this allows us to keep our cost at a minimum for our custom designs. Please get in touch if you are unsure about your options.

Weathering Tips

It's our aim to get your sign or ornament to you as quickly as possible, so unfortunately it isn't possible for us to pre-weather them.

This means your item will be in its raw form - the traditional grey steel colour. It doesn't take long to develop the beautiful rusty patina on your item, most will look pretty good within just a couple of weeks.

However, to be fully sealed and for your product to stop leaking any rust, does require 3-6 months. We have experimented with a few different options, and these are our top tips to speed up the weathering process.

Within Australia we offer flat rate delivery of $13.5 per order, or $18.5 for express postage^.
You are also able to pickup from us at Mt Barker SA – this is free!


^Please note: Express Post for large property signs cut in 3mm steel is $40 due to their additional weight.

Postage on Custom Signs

Postage costs on custom signs & items will be quoted along with your sign and generally starts from $15. Australia Post allow us to send items up to 105cm. If your item is larger than this we will use a courier & charges will apply at cost.

When will I receive my order?

Our processing times do vary, however aim to create & post all orders within 3-5 business days, however sometimes there are factors outside of our control that may effect this. Painted items require a minimum 1-2 week processing time to allow for multiple coats & drying time. Powdercoated items are outsourced to a small local business, and as this is a multistep process that requires curing time between each step please allow 2-3 weeks for processing.

We agonised over a name for our new country retirement home and settled on “Wombat Wallow” since we caught a wombat and baby on our wildlife camera coming out of their burrow in our winter creek. A quick internet search showed us the perfect sign for our front gate. The quality is great and delivery was fast - just in time for my wife’s birthday. When we learned Metalscape was closing, we knew we couldn’t let those stunning designs disappear. So we stepped in to keep the collection alive—and give it a new home.

What are the products made from?

While weathering steel is usually referred to by its trademark name COR-TEN (or Corten), we use an Australian made equivalent from Bluescope called REDCOR. It is known for its superior corrosion resistance and thickness. This is because the surface of the steel forms a protective oxide layer when exposed to the weather. In other words, the steel is allowed to rust in order to protect itself. This protective surface layer continues to regenerate over years of exposure.
